GOT AN ORIGINAL IDEA FOR A GAME? WE WANT TO SEE IT!

Are you looking to get into the games industry when you leave school? Or do you simply have a great game idea you want to share with the world?

Young Game Designers (YGD) is a BAFTA initiative for 10-18 year-olds, where just taking part opens up a world of creative opportunities and provides insights into making games. Enter the competition for a chance to win once-in-a-lifetime experiences with top game makers + industry professionals.

The Competition

There are three categories for entering into YGD:

  1. If you have an original, brand new video game idea but you don’t yet have coding skills, enter the Game Concept Award.
  2. If you're already making + building your own games, enter the Game Making Award.
  3. If you know an inspirational teacher or code club leader, nominate them for the YGD Mentor Award.

The Winners

If you’re chosen as a finalist, you'll be invited to BAFTA 195 Piccadilly, our headquarters in London, for our annual BAFTA Young Game Designers Awards! You’ll get to meet leading games industry figures, get mentorship from professionals actively working in games and a host of other amazing prizes from the YGD partners.
