BAFTA Young Game Designers  is back for 2018 + is now open for entries!

If you're new here - BAFTA Young Game Designers is a free initiative + competition that inspires young people to create, develop + present their new game idea to the world. The UK games industry is an exciting + thriving place to work, + there are a whole variety of roles available to work in. The YGD competition runs from January to April each year, and culminates in an awards ceremony in July.

Entries can be submitted between 15 January - 25 April 2018 here. Submitted entries will be judged by a panel of game designers, developers + other industry experts. Finalists will be invited to an exciting awards ceremony at BAFTA HQ in London. Winners will get to meet top games industry professionals, receive exclusive BAFTA talent mentoring + a host of wonderful prizes from our partners.

You can enter:

Game Concept Award - Enter an original game idea (no coding skills needed). 

Game Making Award - Enter a prebuilt working game prototype (for students with existing coding or game design skills).

BAFTA YGD also recognizes individuals who have inspired young people to learn more about game design through the YGD Mentor Award. Nominate a teacher, code club organiser or group leader here.
